it was a short but fascinating trip to Beijing and Shanghai - hope I can come back to see and learn more about people and culture!
I titled this painting "hommage to Rupprecht Geiger" - below you'll see the painting and then snapshots I took at the Rupprecht-Geiger-Archiv Munich. Look at them and you'll know .-)
a while ago I went to the Archiv Geiger in Munich-Solln and was very surprised about this little museum - it is stunning. Here are some snapshots I took during the guided tour. maybe you'll see the inspiration that led to my painting "hommage"... I was just fascinated by these colors!
...as Okwui Enwezor, director of the Haus der Kunst Munich, was the curator of this year's Art Biennale in Venice I had to go there - one short trip in summer, I had the opportunity to visit some of the pavillons at the Giardini (but unfortunately I couldn't visit the Arsenale out of lack of time) and some of the exhibits which are shown all over the city - some of my favorites: the Russian Pavillon, the Japanese Pavillon, the USA- and the Uruguay-Pavillons (all at the Guardini) ... and in the city: the Azerbaijan Pavillon ("Beyond the line" at Palazzo Lezze) and the venue at the Palazzo Fortuny (which is breathtaking!) ....
the Art Biennale runs until 22nd of November 2015 - go there, besides the art Venice is always worth a trip .-)
here's what comes up to my photographer's' eye - be aware, those are my very specific snapshots. I'd be happy if you like it and you're cordially invited to leave any comments… and should it be happened that you fall in love with one picture just send me an email - depending on the quality of the image all print-sizes and surfaces are available...
