This series of monochrome paintings intensively explores the perception and effect of color. As some paintings are consistently kept in two adjacent color tones, their surface, the forward-facing canvas, is painted monochromatically in one color, while the edge, visible only in profile, is dominated by a corresponding tone. In other works of the series, the artist applies several color tones across the entire surface of the painting. Through her typical glazing technique, an interplay of different color layers and applications emerges, while still enabling the lower layers to shimmer through.

All works in this series are consistently in the size 40x40x4.5 cm. The spatial depth of the frame intensifies the effect of the color in the interplay with space and light.
